A sea gull got a new lease on life, thanks to a group of Stratford firefighters.
The sea gull became tangled in some high voltage power lines for hours at the intersection of Gregory Circle and Birch Drive Tuesday morning.
A group of Stratford firefighters say they found the sea gull hanging by one leg.
Neighbors had called in their concern for the bird.
Firefighter Angelo Garcia said that with the help of United Illuminating, the bird was cut down, checked for wounds and released unharmed at a nearby wildlife refuge.
