Senator Richard Blumenthal has called for increased security measures in wake of the war between Israel and Hamas.

He says this is in response to "a dramatic increase in acts of domestic extremism against American minority groups--as a direct result of the Hamas Israel War."

Blumenthal is also calling for a community relations effort to help curb the spike in acts of domestic extremism.

"We need stronger measures like increasing the nonprofit Security Grant Program, which I will fight to do. We have a broad coalition involving advocates of safety for Muslim Americans, Jewish Americans, Black Americans -- all the minorities that may be affected by extremist ideologies and potential violence,” he said.
