Sen. Richard Blumenthal honored Trumbull-based Unilever Saturday for helping thousands of people in Bridgeport during the pandemic.
He called Unilever "a hero of the corporate community" for stepping up during this tough time to help people at home and around the world.
Unilever is a worldwide consumer goods company that owns brands like Suave, Dove and Ben & Jerry's.
The company started "United For America" to help front-line workers across the country during the pandemic.
Blumenthal also honored the Walter Luckett Foundation for partnering with Unilever to help people during the pandemic and long before that.
Unilever is committing 100 million euros to fight the pandemic around the world.
