A Shelton family is preparing to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of their teenage son.
As News 12 Connecticut has reported, 15-year-old Kristjan Ndoj was shot in the head and leg while standing in the driveway outside a friend's house on March 15, 2014. He died five days later.
Attorney Michael Boynton says Ndoj was well-liked and didn't have any enemies. Boynton says he can't imagine why anyone would have wanted to hurt Ndoj.
The family will be getting together to privately observe the anniversary of Ndoj's death. They are hoping that the $50,000 reward offered to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and conviction will encourage someone to come forward.
State police ask that anyone with information about the crime give them a call.
