Shoppers around Norwalk told News 12 that they had an easy and stress-free experience returning and exchanging holiday gifts on the day after Christmas.
Some people, like Gloria Phinsee from Westchester, even called it fun, saying "it's part of the rush."
At the SoNo Collection mall, senior general manager Matt Seebeck said this day always brings a steady stream of customers.
While the weeks leading up to Christmas were filled with many stores saying it could be harder to return gifts this year, customers like Mary Keklik from Monroe said the stores she needed to return things to were accommodating.
"They're good, we never had any issue, any problem," said Keklik.
Down the road at Kohl's, customers also seemed to be having stress-free returns.
Carrie Luciano described the process as very simple.
"I walked right up to the counter and they're very pleasant," said Luciano.
Both locations also saw just as many people shopping for themselves. Some, like Tamara Hall, had gotten gift cards for Christmas and wanted to use them.
"I know what I want, so I don't want to wait," said Hall.
Others, like Eileen Perreca from Norwalk and her son, still had a few items from their wish list left over.
"He needed something, and I needed something - we didn't need it, we wanted it," Perreca laughed. "So, we're just going to handle it ourselves."
