A silent protest will be held this week for the woman who was shot and killed by police in Washington, D.C. after she tried to ram a gate at the White House last year.
Friday marks the one-year anniversary of Miriam Carey's death. Friends and family say they still have few answers as to why she was killed.
The 34-year-old led police on a chase before being shot and killed with her baby in the backseat.
Carey's family says she suffered from postpartum depression and psychosis. Police say she thought the president was communicating with her.
They say Carey traveled from her apartment in Stamford to Washington, D.C. on that day specifically to visit the White House.
The family says they expect more than 100 people at Friday's silent protest.
