A single father of eight from Bridgeport will be honored by city leaders for building awareness about the important role single fathers play in the community.
After his wife died of a heart attack in 2003, Wesley Daniels worked two jobs to support his children - one as a security officer at a local university and the other as a coach at Bassick High School.
Despite his long working hours, Daniels says that he always found a way to be there for his children.
Daniels says he deserves the recognition and hopes that his story will serve as inspiration for single fathers facing similar struggles.
