Hot weather Friday caused people to head to their local beaches or ice cream shops.
While Thursday's rain caused an apparent sewage overflow and off-limits water at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, plenty of people were still soaking in the sun and taking in the cool breeze as temperatures hit 90 degrees in some areas.
Farther inland, ice cream shops like Dairy Queen were busy with people using the high temps as an excuse to get a sweet treat.
The Department of Health advises anyone who spend time in the hot weather to drink plenty of water, always wear sunscreen and take breaks in an air-conditioned space to cool off.
High temperatures this weekend are expected to remain in the 90s.
