The CPAP mask may be frustrating for sleep apnea patients, but Dr. Dominec Rocco guarantees it will cure the widespread ailment.
The CPAP mask helps air get to the lungs while the patient is asleep, curing apnea and snoring. But for those suffering from sleep disorders, the CPAP mask is not one size fits all.
?99 percent of the patients are frustrated at first,? says Rocco. ?CPAP therapy is not very easy and you have to find the right combo of equipment and pressure for the patient to be comfortable.?
Dr. Rocco also says that the mask sizes are very individualized and will help patients retain healthy REM sleep.
