A world-renowned New York cancer center has set up shop in Norwalk.
Officials call the move a cancer care collaboration between Memorial Sloan Kettering and Norwalk Hospital.
Dr. Richard Frank, an oncologist at Norwalk Hospital who heads up clinical research, says the move will give patients access to more clinical trials and will enable them to receive care in Norwalk instead of heading into New York City.
Collaboration among the doctors is nothing new. Frank worked at Sloan Kettering for eight years, and other doctors at Norwalk Hospital sometimes work there as well.
