Small changes to your diet can make big differences in your family's heart health.
Are you looking for ways to get your family eating more heart healthy foods? Well, look no further than your own kitchen.
Registered dietician Marlo Mittler says using healthier ingredients and cooking techniques is the key.
She recommends avocado oil for everything from sauteing chicken and vegetables to drizzling on your popcorn as a substitute for butter.

Avocados are packed with healthy fats and nutrients and are also high in fiber.

Mittler says to try whole grain or chick pea pasta and for snacks, try dried fruits and roasted chick peas.
