News 12’s Lauren Fabrizi is in Monroe, where the snow is beginning to accumulate.
A winter storm warning is in effect for Northern Litchfield County, as well as winter weather advisories for Northern Fairfield and Northern New Haven counties.
The north and northwest parts of western Connecticut are expected to see between 3 and 6 inches of snow, with the central parts of the state seeing between 1 to 3 inches. Most of the coast will see up to an inch of snow. The snow should be gone by the early afternoon.
