Some summer camps in Connecticut announced Wednesday that they plan to open in late June.
The state is permitting summer camps to open in June. The Fairfield YMCA is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but staff is prepping to open June 29.
Nine Central Connecticut Coast YMCA's are scheduling the start of day camp.
More guidelines from the state are expected on May 15, which will include if swimming is allowed and how camps could contend with any infections.
