The girlfriend of Kyle Navin, the man accused of killing his parents this summer, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges related to the deaths of her boyfriend's parents.
Jennifer Valiante pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring to commit murder and hindering the prosecution.
She has denied any involvement in the deaths of Jeffrey and Jeannette Navin.
The remains of the Easton couple, who disappeared in early August, were found in a Weston yard last month.
Navin's hearing lasted less than a minute. His attorney asked for a continuance to decide whether they will seek a probable cause hearing.
In court, the state's attorney called the amount of evidence against Navin and Valiante "voluminous."
It included text messages between them that police say shows they planned to kill the Navins for money.
The arrest warrant says the couple's bodies were found in heavy-duty trash bags. The warrant also states that a surveillance video from Home Depot shows Valiante and Navin bought a number of things including heavy-duty trash bags the day after the Navins disappeared.
In court, Valiante also chose to have a jury trial.
She is being held on $2 million bond. Navin's bond is $2.5 million.
