What are the holidays without a little in-state rivalry in the American Hockey League?
The Sound Tigers took on the Connecticut Whale in Bridgeport last night.
Rhett Rakshani put home a rebound in the second period to put the Sound Tigers in front, 1-0.
After two Connecticut goals, the Sound Tigers almost evened things up. But Joey Haddad's shot was stopped by Chad Johnson's save.
The Sound Tigers were down 2-1 after two periods, but they scored twice in the third to beat their in-state rivals, 3-2.
