Get out and get some fresh air at Southford Falls State Park in Southbury -- one of Connecticut's 110 state parks.
Southford Falls became a state park in 1932. It sits on 169 acres of land, and features great trails that are smooth for hiking. For people who don't hike often but want a great view and shorter trails, then Southford is the place.
There's also a trout park for fishing lovers and for those who want to take a crack at it.
The park even has waterfalls with views that offer idyllic New England scenery.
