New numbers show that the number of foreclosures in Connecticut jumped by 34 percent in February.
Information released by RealtyTrac shows foreclosures hit a nationwide high in the same month.
In southwestern Connecticut, the reports shows Bridgeport was hit hard with 375 filings in February. Norwalk and Stamford registered numbers in the low 60s. Fairfield had 25 foreclosures.
New Haven County ranked second in statewide foreclosures.
