Speeding tickets, DUIs, and accidents keep state police busy on Memorial Day weekend

State police reported 244 accidents over the weekend.

It was a busy weekend and Memorial Day on our roads, which meant Connecticut State Police was also busy. Here are some of the stats they provided:
  • Nearly 4,000 service calls
  • More than 370 speeding tickets issued
  • 21 DUI arrests made
  • Assistance provided to 347 drivers who were disabled or needed help
State police also reported 244 accidents over the weekend. There were 32 people injured, with one person seriously injured. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
