Will the third time be the charm for the Fairfield University baseball team? After another tremendous regular season, Bill Currier's team enters postseason play for the third traight year as the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Stags have come up short in the MAAC tournament in years past, but they told Justin DeVellis this year will be different.
"I think it's more excitement than pressure. I think we have a lot of experienced guys, I don't think pressure plays as much of a role. We just have to go out and we have another chance to do it again," Trumbull's Charlie Pagliarini said.
Pagliarini was recently named the MAAC Player of the Year.
Fairfield opens up the conference tournament Thursday morning at 11 a.m. on ESPN+.
