The teammates and family of a Stamford high school football player killed last year held a flag football tournament in his name Saturday.
Ky-mani Antoine died in a car crash in 2019, but his family says his "billion-dollar smile" will never be forgotten.
They organized the tournament Saturday to raise a scholarship in his name. Players wore his high school number and his picture on their shirts.
The event was held on the Rippowam Middle School football field, where Antoine played as a kid.
Although he never got to fulfill his dream of playing in the NFL, loved ones say they hope this tournament will raise money for a scholarship in his name for someone who dreams of going to college.
Donations for the scholarship fund can also be made online.
