A Stamford family received a pleasant surprise Thursday when they were reunited with the drone they thought they had lost at the beginning of the year.
Mark Baez and his wife first found the drone, and then the camera that showed footage of the drone's pilots. Jake Mantel says he spoke with his 15-year-old brother Ben, who is currently traveling in Rome, to let him know that his Christmas gift will be there when he gets back.
Mantel says he couldn't believe Baez found the drone, or that it crashed so close to the area that they searched.
He says the drone has a GPS system that you can program so you can track the aircraft. However, his brother Ben didn't set the GPS up before he lost it.
