Stamford first responders take their best shots in a charity pickleball tournament and food drive

First responders gathered on Sunday to compete in Stamford’s inaugural Battle of the Badges pickleball tournament and holiday food drive.

First responders gathered on Sunday to compete in Stamford’s inaugural Battle of the Badges pickleball tournament and holiday food drive.
The competition was held at Pickleball America in the Stamford Town Center. Competing teams included Stamford EMS, Stamford Police Department and Stamford Fire Department.
Stamford police took first place after going undefeated against their opponents.
They earned $1,000 for their organization, while the Stamford Firefighters Burn Foundation won the runner-up prize of $500.
Collected food items from the community went to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
