A Stamford man is accused of stabbing a Walmart cashier over the price of milk, police say.

A Stamford man is accused of stabbing a Walmart cashier over the price of milk, police say.
The incident happened Sunday at the Walmart at 910 Wolcott St. in Waterbury. 
Waterbury Police say Asfir Hicham, 40, of Stamford, stabbed a 19-year-old woman who was working as a cashier, with a folding knife after she told him the price of a gallon a milk at checkout.
Police say Hicham walked around to the register, grabbed the cashier by the hair and then stabbed her in the left side of the head.
After assaulting the cashier, Hicham dropped the knife and sat down.
The 19-year-old was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Hicham was charged with assault and breach of peace.
He was being held on a $500,000 bond.
