Stamford man accused of using stolen credit card to purchase materials at Ring's End Lumber

An investigation found that Daniel Cabrera allegedly used the stolen card to buy the items. They say he admitted to the police that he used the card. Officials say Cabrera told police it was given to him by a person named Jose.

A Stamford man is accused of using a stolen credit card in Darien, police say.

Officials say that police received a report on Halloween that a stolen credit card was used to purchase building materials at Ring's End Lumber. They say the cardholder lives in Illinois.

An investigation found that Daniel Cabrera allegedly used the stolen card to buy the items. They say he admitted to the police that he used the card. Officials say Cabrera told police it was given to him by a person named Jose.

Cabrera turned himself in to the police on March 11.

He was charged with larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and conspiracy to commit payment card theft or fraud.

Cabrera was released on bond and is due in court on March 30.
