The city of Stamford named its 2017 Citizen of the Year Wednesday.
Dudley Williams Jr., a longtime education advocate, was honored with the award.
A plaque honoring him was unveiled at the Stamford Government Center.
Williams has served on the city's Board of Education and Board of Finance.
