Community members gathered in Stamford Wednesday to show off their Polish pride.
Wednesday marked the 32nd anniversary of the Polish constitution, the first Democratic constitution in Europe and second in the world.
Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons joined the town's Polish community at the Stamford government center to present a special proclamation and a flag-raising ceremony.
"We have so many dedicated Polish Americans in our community, and we are so proud of our vibrant and strong Polish community here in Stamford," said Simmons.
Simmons says that the Polish flag was raised next to the American one as a symbol of the two countries' strong partnership.
