Stamford police are dealing with another string of car break-ins this weekend after a recent rash of car thefts just last month.

According to police, the recent thefts include nine reported break-ins on Sunday night at the Holiday Inn parking garage at Grove Street and Seaside Avenue. Police say most of the stolen items were electronics such as navigational devices, iPods and laptops.

Police are warning residents to protect their belongings and keep car doors locked. Stamford Police Lt. Sean Cooney says many residents fall victim to the break-ins because they have a false sense of security.

"It's in my driveway right next to my house. I don't need to lock the door. You're making it easy. You're making yourself an easy victim," says Cooney.

According to Cooney, they've made arrests in last month's break-ins, but are still looking for those responsible for Sunday night's thefts.
