Dr. Winifred Hamilton - the superintendent of Stamford Public Schools - announced Tuesday at a Board of Education meeting that she will be retiring.
Following the announcement, officials also announced the appointment of Raymond Manka as the new principal of Stamford High School.
Officials say Manka will take over starting July 1.
