Pounds of illegal cannabis found as Norwalk police arrest smoke shop workers

Two Norwalk smoke shops have been busted for selling illegal cannabis and nitrous oxide, following an investigation conducted by the Norwalk Special Services Division.

The arrests are a part of an ongoing investigation to expose smoke shops in Norwalk that illegally sell cannabis.

The investigation led officers to obtain search-and-seizure warrants for Norwalk Convenience along 213 main street on June 23 and Mr. Vape along 203 Liberty Square on June 24.

Ahmed Salem Khayar at Norwalk Convenience was arrested for a total of 4.43 ounces of cannabis products and nitrous oxide seized at their location.

The second arrest was for the clerk at Mr. Vape, Mohsin Abdallah Said with a total of 1.63 pounds. of cannabis products seized.

Both individuals were given a bond of five thousand dollars, with Khayar set for court on July 7, and Said set for court on July 9.
