Some students in Stamford are hitting the stage this week for a performance they've been practicing for two months.
Kids in the Fifth Grade Showcase program at Westover Magnet School had their first performance of "Aladdin and His Wonderful, Magical Lamp" this morning.
The Fifth Grade Showcase gives students intensive study in arts and problem-solving fields including art, dance, drama and music.
Organizers say today's show is the culmination of a lot of valuable work. And their teachers say the kids will give two encore performances of that show tomorrow, the first at 9:45 a.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m.
