State Education Commissioner Stephan Pryor praised the recent reforms at Bridgeport's Bassick High School today during a visit.
The high school became part of the CommPACT program last year, which works with the University of Connecticut to build unity among community partners, parents, teachers and children.
Administrators say since that decision, the school has had an increase in parent participation and student test scores. CommPACT officials say they hope the visit will encourage the model to be replicated in other schools across the state.
