23ds agoConnecticut State Police say a Danbury woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in a wrong-way crash on I-84 Sunday.
It happened shortly after 6 p.m. near Exit 18 in Waterbury.
State police say a car was traveling west in the eastbound lanes when it swerved to avoid an oncoming car, causing it to crash head-on into a car in another lane.
Authorities say Francisca Cortez-Arias was a passenger in the wrong-way vehicle and died from her injuries.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash cam video to give them a call.
