State police say they are looking for the driver who crashed their car in Harwinton and left the scene.

Police say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday near 573 Litchfield Road, also known as Route 118.

A driver went off the road and struck an embankment, narrowly missing a utility pole.

Witnesses say the driver fled on foot east on Route 118.

Police searched the area and deployed a K-9 unit, but the driver was not found.
