Republicans are pushing to end a new highway use fee on bigger trucks.
Gov. Ned Lamont says it's needed to pay for critical road projects.
GOP leaders Wednesday called for ending the tax in July, just six months after it started.
Trucks must pay up to 18 cents a mile, depending on their size.
For the whole length of I-95, that could cost almost $20.
