Connecticut State Police are reminding the public to be safe this Labor Day weekend.
State police posted a graphic on social media outlining some ways to keep safe on the roadways.

With an increase in traffic, troopers want to make sure the public follows the rules of the road and use extra caution.
They say those traveling along the highways should expect delays to allow extra time to get to your destination.
If you drink alcohol, police say you should have a designated driver or call for a ridesharing service.
They say wearing your seatbelt will save lives.
They say it's the law for drivers to move over for emergency vehicles, and drivers should limit all distractions.
Troopers will be out in full force cracking down on these violations.
Officials are stressing that public health measures are still in effect due to COVID-19, and that the public should practice social distancing and wear a protective face mask when out in public.
