The potential return of winter weather has local hardware stores and nurseries scrambling to restock snow supplies.
Workers at Hemlock Hardware in Fairfeld say they are selling items they have not sold in weeks.
They say they have been busy putting out shovels, ice melt, snow brushes and even sleds.
They say they were caught off guard by the weekend forecast.
Owner Scott Pesavento says the store has not yet seen many customers come in to buy winter items, but he expects the shop to be busy.
"This time of year, people aren't expecting it. If this were January, February, different story. This time of year it won't be till Saturday or Sunday when they get the news that snow is coming," says Pesavento.
