The cleanup has started throughout parts of southwestern Connecticut hit hard by Thursday night's storms.
Stratford police say they were called to perform traffic control at 31 different locations as public works crews worked on fallen trees, including some that fell on houses.
Several homeowners are considering themselves lucky that falling limbs didn't cause more damage.
?We?ve had hurricanes, we?ve had other storms in the past 50 years that I?ve been here. I?ve never seen a storm like that before,? says Stratford resident Winnie Ingram.
The National Weather Service is assessing the damage and trying to determine if a tornado touched down.
