Officials and emergency crews in Danbury have had their hands full trying to help people impacted by Tuesday's powerful storm.
The West Redding Fire Department loaned Danbury a trailer to use as a makeshift fire station. Wednesday night, firefighters were mapping out which roads near Candlewood Lake were still blocked off so they could use ATVs to reach homes in case of a fire.
With some streets still shut due to a tangle of fallen trees, branches and wires, firefighters have an ATV loaded with first aid equipment and a fire extinguisher, if they're needed.
On Tuesday, a falling tree killed a man. First responders used a boat to cross Candlewood Lake to get there. Officials say two firefighters in the boat were injured during that operation, but they were expected to be OK.
A Henry Abbot Technical High School baseball player was injured when a dugout was whipped by strong winds.
