Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez told News 12’s Frank Recchia that officers were doing all they could to keep people safe during the latest bout with winter weather on the first full day of spring.
He asked the public to move cars to the “odd side of the road” on roads that are designated for snow emergencies.
He said officers were knocking on doors and asking people to move their cars before taking any action.
“We are here to serve and protect the public,” said Chief Perez.
He also urged people to stay off the roads as the storm intensifies in the evening.
