Wind gusts could reach 40 mph today, but it's bringing in nice weather for the end of the week. We do have some rain for Easter Weekend, here are the details.
A cold front moved in last night and is bringing clouds and strong wind across the island all day today. Wind gusts yesterday reached 47 mph at John F. Kennedy Airport and 58 mph at a taller observation site in Stony Brook. Fortunately, although the wind will be persistent, it will not be damaging today with gusts around 40 mph.
Wind speeds are light tonight and the weather looks great for Thursday and Friday. There are a few showers for Saturday, but it'll be warm and then clear out for Easter Sunday.
TODAY: Windy with mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the mid 40s.
