Cool weather returns for the weekend with light showers most of Sunday afternoon
It's a mild morning in the Hudson Valley. Temperatures are in the 60s now and climb into the 70s before 10 a.m. There will be a mix of sun and clouds through early afternoon with temperatures in the mid 80s. Showers are possible after 2 p.m. and are likely by 5 p.m. A rumble of thunder is possible, but heavy rain will be very limited.
Showers continue on and off through the evening with dry weather and clear skies returning after midnight. Low temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s.
Saturday is spectacular. Plenty of sunshine is expected with temperatures near 70-degrees.
Showers are likely on Sunday. Skies will be overcast with the best chance for rain arriving by mid-morning and lingering into the afternoon. There will be breaks in the rain and rain totals will likely remain under a quarter of an inch.
Ample sunshine is expected for much of next week, but temperatures will be chilly in the morning. The coldest mornings will be Tuesday and Wednesday. We will start the day in the 40s with highs struggling to hit 60-degrees.
Cooler neighborhoods in Orange, Putnam, Ulster, and Dutchess counties will likely drop into the 30s and could see their first frost of the season Tuesday and particularly Wednesday morning. If you have sensitive seasonal plants for autumn, or a patio plant you'd like to save make sure to protect them or bring them inside on Monday.
