Kickstarting the day early with the first round of spotty showers around sunrise. The next round of storms is likely to arrive around lunch with the best chance for the storms around dinnertime (5 p.m.). Damaging wind gusts and flash flooding are the biggest concerns with these storms making their way across southern Connecticut. Temperatures will struggle to reach 80 in many cities. The night should end quietly behind the final line of storms. Monday should be a hot and humid day as high pressure shifts back into play. Temperatures should warm back into the 90s and stick with us through Wednesday. Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week.
TODAY: Multiple rounds of downpours. Highs in the low 80s.
TONIGHT: Clearing skies. Lows in the low 70s.
MONDAY: Warm, dry and mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 80s.
