STORM WATCH: Temps plummet ahead of messy wintry mix Thursday into Friday

A storm system will approach Thursday night bringing some snow with it late at night. By morning it will turn to a wintry mix, especially in southern locations.

The spring preview will come to an end as winter temps and snow make a return Thursday overnight into Friday.
Overnight will turn much colder with lows by morning all the way down into the 20s.
Thursday will be dry along with partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs only in the 30s.
A storm system will approach Thursday night bringing some snow with it late at night. By morning it will turn to a wintry mix, especially in southern locations.
Friday will be messy and nasty with a wintry mix until ending in the mid-afternoon. It will change over to just a cold rain along shoreline areas, keeping accumulations toward the lower end of the scale.
OVERNIGHT: Some clouds and much colder. Low of 26.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy and cold. High of 36.
FRIDAY: Morning snow and a wintry mix changing to a cold rain along the shoreline. Staying a wintry mix up north. High of 38.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and cold, brisk. High of 35.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny and breezy. High of 38.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny, brisk and very cold. High of 28.
