Hundreds of homes lost power as powerful storms lashed the Hudson Valley overnight.

Heavy rains and gusty winds knocked down trees and power lines throughout the region.

There were numerous tornado warnings across the area. The National Weather Service has so far confirmed a  tornado in neighboring New Jersey.
