Storms are clearing out, but the wind continues to howl. Strong gusts are expected to linger through the first half of the overnight. The wind advisory will expire at midnight.
The wind is bringing us bitterly cold air-- which will cause temperatures to dip below freezing. This will mean any ponding or puddles could ice over and cause slippery and dangerous conditions overnight. Be mindful of black ice.
Winds will lessen during the second half of the overnight, but will not completely go away. Throughout the weekend, we can still expect gusts between 20 mph and 40 mph. Temperatures on Saturday will stay below 40, and will warm up to the 40s for Sunday.
