Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch says a movie theater is the latest business to commit to the Steelpointe Harbor waterfront project.
Officials say the California-based company cinepolisUSA will open a 12-screen theater that will offer a luxury movie experience.
Officials say they expect the 1,200 seat theater will be the first of its kind in the state when it opens in 2017.
