Students at Fairfield Ludlowe High School are scheduled to witness a mock crash this morning, as officials want to make sure they practice safe driving when hitting the road with prom and graduation season approaching.
Fairfield police and fire departments, as well as Bridgeport Hospital, are teaming up for a crash simulation.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens in the U.S.
The agency says 28 people die every day from crashes involving drunk driving, and another eight from distracted driving.
