Students at Fairfield Ludlowe High School got a lesson in safe driving this morning by witnessing a "mock" crash.
The safety lesson is something the school has been doing for several years. It comes ahead of prom and graduation season as a way for officials to get across just how dangerous drinking and driving or any type of distracted driving is.
A group of student actors teamed up with the town's police and fire departments as well as Bridgeport Hospital to stage the crash.
As part of the mock crash, the teens were seriously hurt, and one died as a result of drinking and driving.
The junior class took part.
