The annual Chanukah Concert and Party kicked off the first of eight nights Sunday morning at the Greenwich Library.
Sunday marks the first night of Hanukkah, and community members in Greenwich rang in the holiday together with a concert and celebration.
First Selectman Peter Tesei kicked the event off by lighting the menorah on stage.
Preschoolers and an a cappella group performed several religious, fun Hanukkah songs.
The event concluded with a lunch catered by Soosh, a nearby sushi restaurant.
The crowd appeared to enjoy the party - clapping and singing along for hours.
Religious leaders at the event say that the aim is to bring everyone together and celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, especially during a time of such divisiveness in our country.
