Public works crews are already getting set for any wintry weather that could hit Connecticut this weekend.
Newtown DPW trucks are already prepared to head out with plows, salt and sand.
DPW workers say they do not have trouble plowing large amounts of snow, but ice is where things can get tricky.
"As far as the ice goes … we would rather have 25 feet of snow," says DPW worker Tim Whelan.
Officials are reminding people to stay off the roads during the wintry weather, especially in icy conditions.
